Great Question. Before I answer, let me note that I am a conservative question. My husband is a Seminary graduate from a very conservative seminary and we are active in ministry. Also, we never voted for Bush. We both believe the President should have demonstrated significant competence. Additionally, we believe the President, above all else, should be a great communicator and thinker. President Bush in my opinion met neither of these ideals.

I don’t believe Christians destroyed the Republican Party. I do believe, however, that Christians have had a hand in its movement toward its demise. Given that Christians are the party’s base, one cannot legitimately conclude otherwise.

Christians did the following that hurt the party:
1. Believed they could impact society through political and financial power. We can never really have an impact unless we are led by God’s spirit. We are led by God, we will act differently than our opposition AND we will bear fruit. We did neither. We politic worse than our opposition. Look at the angry way we present our point of views, the name calling. Look at how we raised money, the sources we get funds from and through. Many Americans and foreigners have a less favorable view of Christianity because of this. If we really want to impact society, we need to get into the communities and share the gospel which will change the hearts and minds of citizens and, in turn, impact the political landscape. I dare us to complain our illegal immigration (we need to stop it by the way), when we regularly exploited them by hiring them at our business at a cheaper rate and have used their cheap labor to cut our lawns, fix our houses and other activities for decades. Now that we don’t have jobs, we want to kick them out. Shameful. We need to repent and then pursue to stop illegal immigrants from walking across the boarder.

2. We do not hold other Christians accountable and justify and overlook the wrong they do. You know water-boarding is wrong. Military men have been court marshaled, imprisoned and dismissed from the military during every war. Our CIA is water-boarded during training to be prepared when our enemies use this tactic. Since when do we use the same tactics that dictators and communists use? We support this! What about Jack Abram off? The Christian Coalition? They joined forces to defraud two Indian groups. Jesus was call the “the least of these”. Not one Christian leader denounced republican politicians and other Christians who had relationships with or accepted money from Jack Abram off. What about Banks? How many politicians sold the country out to the banking industry? Many of them were Republican. Have we learned? No, we still tout de-regulation even though it is inconsistent with biblical principles. Since mankind by nature is sinful, why would we not regulate corporations (run by men) who are likely to pursuit profits at the expense of moral and ethical responsibility? We need to repent.

3. We may be Christian in name only. Though I can never determine if one is a Christian or not. I can pose the question, Are we really living, thinking and acting like a Christian? The answer too many times is no! When Clinton was forced to come face-to-face with his shameful sin, what did we do? We rubbed his face in it. We talked about where his mouth went, what she did, positions, times and other details. We were giddy over his moral failure. Did we go to him and present the truth of the Gospel? No. Liberals did. Did we publicly ask for churches and all individuals and organizations to form prayer meetings/circles in every home and church on his behalf? No. Why? We were more interested in furthering OUR political cause not the cause of Christ. We missed the best opportunity in decades to introduce Christ to the masses.

I believe we were duped by Rush Limbaugh, the Christian Coalition and those who put out talking points. We never evaluated these people and positions in the light of biblical principles. We did not think or operated like Christians. The republican Party, known as the party of Christians, will not recover without true repentance and dedications to God’s agenda and means.

Republicans believe in moral, legal and moral responsibility.

Republicans belive chaaracter is moral strength, disipline, pig headedness.

Republicans believe everyone can act morally; all you need is dicipline like Mark Foley or Larry Craig have.

Republicans believe the laissez-faire free market is both natual and moral and its results are fair.

Republicans believe anyone can succeed in a free market; all you need is discipline that is, character.

Republicans believe the rich thus deserve their wealth and the poor, their poverty.

Republicans believe nature is a resource for human use and thus a source for making money.

Republicans believe Individual property rights outweigh any common good.

You should pursue a career that you are passionate 1st and then worry about how much you’ll get paid.

You are more likely to succeed in the long run and be happier with a less paying passionate career.

Also, there are moral responsibilities in medicine that involve life and death decisions of others. Be prepared to be able to make those decisions and remain grounded.

“Why do we need a central bank?”

We don’t.

“And what exactly does a central bank do.”

It’s primary function is to defraud the population for the benefit of the government, and the government’s pet favourites, such as the military/industrial complex, the bankers themselves (in exchange for giving government a share of the money stolen), and whoever the government thinks it can bribe for votes. It’s literally that corrupt. The reason it can go on under our very noses is because most people don’t understand it.

What a central bank does is inflate the supply of money or money substitutes, in other words, it dilutes the existing stock of money by printing more pieces of paper and calling it money. This causes a number of serious negative side-effects.

The first one is that it causes a drop in the value of money. Your money is worth less. That’s why the dollar has lost 94 percent of its value since the Federal Reserve was started in 1913. Considering one of the main purposes of the federal reserve is to stabilise prices, we must conclude that it has been a complete failure, compared to the absence of a central bank.

The second negative effect is that inflation is government’s main means of funding wars which apart from being supremely immoral, are also extremely destructive of wealth. The USA has become a nation of perpetual war in case you haven’t noticed.

The third negative effect is that all the central bank is doing is re-distributing wealth. It’s not creating wealth – if it was, we would have found a way to create wealth by stamping pieces of paper. We haven’t. All it does is take property from people who own it, and give it entire industries who live at the expense of the productive classes. Basically the central bank enables governments to loot the savings of the entire population without having to bother rifling their pockets to do it.

The fourth negative effect is that the newly printed money creates a bubble in the sector where it enters the economy. That’s why there was a bubble in the housing sector – because that’s where government was injecting the money. The bubble draws capital away from actual productive activity, such as growing food, or making medicine, and channels it into wasteful activity like making condominiums with gold faucets and five bathrooms. This is because the bubble makes activity appear profitable that, absent the manipulation of the money supply, would be seen to be loss-making (think, for example, investing in real estate during the bubble. The profits made by the speculators and financiers come from skimming the wages of millions of people too poor to own their own house, all courtesy of the central bank).

The fifth negative effect is it distorts the capital structure, in other words, it causes massive dislocation between where people *are* and where people would be productively employed. The boom collapses into the bust with its bankruptcies, unemployment, homelessness, family breakdown, suicide, hardship, depression and ruined lives – all while the privileged continue slurping at the trough.

The sixth negative effect is moral. The policy of credit expansion corrupts the entire value system of society. It punishes work, savings, individual responsibility and building a future. It rewards debt, consumption, instant grat, speculation and political favouritism.

The declared purpose of the Fed is full employment. In the time since the Fed has been on the job, we have had the two biggest depressions and highest unemployment in the history of the world.

The justifications given for the central bank – that it is necessary for government to “manage” the economy, presupposes that government has a competence to manage the economy in the first place. There is neither evidence nor reason to support this supposition.

The reason economists have the gall to try to justify this institutionalised fraud is because most of them rely, directly or indirectly, on the Federal Reserve or the federal government for their privileged existence. They are like the high priests of old preaching to the masses that Pharaoh can do no wrong even while he and his acolytes live at their expense.
